Передал бы кто-нибудь автору такие coments, что даже если это правда ( а) правительство Израиля на это отвечало, что форпостов в два раза меньше (что оно отвечало насчет строительства - не помню, честно говоря, поищу) , б) деньги на "незаконное строительство" выделяться не могут никаким образом просто потому, что Кнесет не может утверждать бюджет на незаконные операции :) Так что если на что деньги и могли выделяться - так на строительство, соответствующее законам Израиля) -

- так вот, даже если это правда, то что такого ужасного находит в этом master? По мне, пусть себе и дальше расширяются. :)

Ne pravitel'stvo, a poselency. Esli poselenija nezakonnye 9s tochki zrenija zakonov Izrailja), to oni ne mogut poluchat' finansirovanie.

Дело в том, что те земли, на которых они стоят принадлежат другим владельцам.

А забор вокруг поселений зачастую приводит к тому, что отрезаются куски земель, которые сейчас принадлежат нееврейским крестьянам.

Komu? Chto-to ja ne slyshala, chtoby poselency pri stroitel'stve sgonjali bednyh krestjan s zemli.

Ne bylo by napadenij na poselenija - ne bylo by nuzhdy v zaborah.

Т.е. до поселенцев земля была ничья?

Оппоненты Израиля утверждают, что "свободная земля" либо принадлежала арабским владельцам (беженцам), либо находилась в общем владении жителей деревень (общинной). (Википедия)

Заборы обычно размещают на своей земле, а не на земле соседа.

Я что-то тоже не встречал нигде сообщений о том, что поселения и ограда вокруг них "отрезают" земли, на которых живут/пашут/сеют палестинские крестьяне...

JERUSALEM, July 20 (Reuters) - Israel says that part of Walaja, a village of terraced olive groves where Shehada and his neighbours have lived for more than five decades is in Jerusalem -- annexed in a move that is not recognised internationally after the 1967 war.
But the villagers of Walaja hold West Bank identity cards that give them no right to enter the country which lays claim to the land where they live.
"The soldiers said they can come at any time and expel us. There is no security," said 60-year-old Shehada. "Any sound I have to get up and investigate.
"It will happen. If they tell me my house isn't legal and my presence isn't legal, then of course it will happen."
Palestinians and human rights activists say that as Israel prepares to withdraw from the Gaza Strip as part of a plan to "disengage" from Palestinians, it is also trying to exert tighter control on Palestinian access to Arab East Jerusalem.
Residents say Israeli border police have raided Walaja three times this year, arresting 20 men from their beds.
Israel's interior ministry declined to comment. Police spokesman Gil Kleiman said police were simply enforcing the law.
"We don't make any distinction. If someone is illegally in Israel, they are illegally in Israel," he said, adding that Israel had found more than 258,000 Palestinians in Israel without permits in 2003.
For Walaja's residents, the thought of being forced out is especially bitter because of their history.
The village was built by refugees who fled in 1948 from the war at Israel's creation to settle on land that was then controlled by Jordan. Israel captured the West Bank and Arab East Jerusalem in the 1967 Middle East war.
"It is not unprecedented," said Yehezkel Lein, head of research for the Israeli human rights group B'Tselem.
"You can find many people in this situation -- that they have lived in or were born in Jerusalem and are not recognised as residents. They are under constant threat of expulsion."
Walaja residents said Israel ignored them for years before cracking down in the 1990s, stepping up activity this year with arrests and house-to-house warnings to leave.
At some stage, they also expect their village could be divided by the barrier Israel says it is building to stop suicide bombers. The World Court agreed with the Palestinians this month that it is illegal to build it on occupied land.
B'Tselem says Israel has tried to reduce the number of Palestinians living in East Jerusalem by restricting building, revoking residency and social benefits, and neglecting infrastructure.
The people of Walaja live within site of their former village, marked by a clump of trees planted after Israel destroyed it decades ago. They say they do not intend to flee again.
Adnan al-Atrash, deputy head of the Walaja council, said soldiers had come to his home three times, arresting two adult sons and delivering a warning he has no intention of heeding.
"They said: We want to inform you that your presence here is illegal. I told them I was here before Israel ... You are the ones who came illegally to me."

JAYYOUS, West Bank, Nov 27 (Reuters) - "My olives are withering on their branches because the Israelis won't let me through this fence," said Palestinian farmer Mahmoud Khorushi, peering sadly at his vines on a terraced slope beyond.
Olives are a major Palestinian cash crop and the vines a symbol of continuity on land tended by families for generations.
Harvests used to be joyous occasions for family reunions, with relatives coming from far and wide to help out until Israel imposed a military clampdown on the West Bank and Gaza Strip in response to a Palestinian uprising.
This year, the olive harvest in the most fertile belt of the arid region has been disrupted by Israel's controversial construction of a security barrier across the West Bank, cutting off thousands of Palestinian farmers from their crops.
Long before work started in 2002 the spread of Jewish settlements had been eating into Palestinian rural holdings. In recent years, extremist settlers have periodically chopped down Palestinian olive groves without prosecution.
"They kill our trees to kill the hope of our people. I am ruined," said Fauzi Hussein, surveying the remains of 255 olive trees which he said had been destroyed by settlers from a new outpost overlooking his village in the central West Bank.
Construction of the planned 680-km (422-mile) mix of electronic fences, walls and trenches may prove the single biggest strike against the foundation of Palestinian life on the land, U.N. and World Bank studies indicate.
"The (barrier) will have severe humanitarian consequences," the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said in a November report.
In a study based on an official map, it said 274,000 Palestinians could wind up marooned between the barrier and Israel's border, or in enclaves created by the structure once construction was complete.
Israel's Foreign Ministry rejected the findings, saying that only four percent of Palestinians would be west of the barrier.
But by often meandering from Israel's border well into the West Bank, the barrier's first 180 km (112 miles) have separated over 70,000 people from fields, markets, schools and public services from the rest of the territory where Palestinians seek a state.
More than 65,000 olives trees have been uprooted, thousands of hectares (acres) of rural property appropriated and scarce water sources threatened by its construction, according to international studies.

Израильская группа активистов Peace Now ("Мир сегодня") сообщила, что 32,4 процента земель под израильскими поселениями на Западном берегу находится в частной собственности палестинцев.
